THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TREASURE ISLAND (T Godden) was stubborn to load. b) RADU (*D D Louw) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (SR) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded (14h00). b) FINE WINE (C Maujean) raced wide around the turn and into the straight. c) The colour cap on Jockey J Jacobs (GOLDEN ANGEL) became detached in the running. d) Apprentice D D Louw (RADU) accidentally cropped his crop in the concluding stages. e) In view of the performances of RADU (*D D Louw) (6.10 lengths, 9/2 in the betting) and SAINT BRIGID (S Veale) (6.10 lengths, 6/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer W Whitehead will be asked to report back on the condition of RADU on return to stables. f) FINE WINE (C Maujean), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
