Stipes Report

THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE DELAY IN THE PREVIOUS RACE.
THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	WHISPERING DEATH (M Michel) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.	
b)	ALMOND SEA (C Zackey) was slow into stride.	
c)	WILLIAM ROBERTSON (R Munger) stumbled shortly after the start. 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded.
b)	Leaving the 300m, PISTOL PETE (G Lerena) was steadied and switched in off the heels of WILLIAM ROBERTSON (R Munger), which hung out. 
A race review was called by a member of the Stipendiary Board, which was followed by an Objection being lodged by Jockey G Lerena on behalf of the fifth-placed horse, PISTOL PETE, against the third-placed horse, WILLIAM ROBERTSON, on the grounds of interference leaving the 300m. The Board, after giving regard to the evidence presented by the relevant parties, was of the opinion that the result had not been affected by this incident, overruled the Objection and allowed the Judges' result to stand. Jockey G Lerena's deposit was refunded.  
An inquiry will be opened into this incident. 
c)	FATAL FLAW (C Murray) hung in from the 200m. 
d)	ALMOND SEA (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.

JOCKEY CHANGES:
a)	RADICCHIO: Jockey J R Syster weighed out at 50,9kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight.

RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER:

THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED:
a)	WILLIAM ROBERTSON fatigued; blowing post-race.	
b)	WHISPERING DEATH abnormal respiratory noise.		
c)	ELEGANT ICE abnormal respiratory noise.
