Stipes Report
En route to the start SHE'S A MACHINE (S Moodley) cast the right front shoe which was replaced by the course farrier at the start. This filly was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to race. This caused a delay to the start of this race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (JN) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) At the 1200m, in a slow run race, CARE FORGOT (M Michel) was steadied in anticipation of running onto the heels of TLADI MOTHWANA (S Veale). c) BACK AT THE GEORGE (C Zackey) hung in from the 350m. d) In view of the performance of HIERKOMMIEBOKKIE (K de Melo) (6.70 lengths, 25/2 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested. e) BACK AT THE GEORGE (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
