THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MOYA WA LALIGA (C Zackey) stood, losing 7 lengths. b) MAGIC SURPRISE (R A Venniker) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DM) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) MAGIC SURPRISE (R A Venniker) hung in from the 200m. c) Jockey A Mgudlwa reported that he felt something amiss with DANUBE in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the Starter's report with regard to MOYA WA LALIGA (C Zackey), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion on a race day. (Suspension dates: 15.01.2026 to the 21.01.2026). MOYA WA LALIGA may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer W M Masawi will be advised. e) UMZINGELI WENYATHI (*S Bungane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Binda was advised (SP).
