THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TOMAHAWK BILL (*N Yuen) jumped slow, losing two lengths. b) GLENALMOND (*S Bungane) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h59) b) WATERFRONT (C Zackey) and MEET THE KING (A Fortune) brushed shortly after the start. c) Shortly after the start, PRINCE OF EGYPT (JP van der Merwe) took an awkward stride, shifted out and made contact with ECHO FOXTROT (M Yeni). d) At the 250m PRINCE OF EGYPT (JP van der Merwe) was carried in marginally by NO PRESSURE (R Piechulek), which shifted in away from the crop and was straightened. e) Shortly before the finish, VOLEGOV (A Domeyer) was brushed on the hindquarters by NO PRESSURE (R Piechulek), which rolled inwards. f) In view of the performance of TOMAHAWK BILL (*N Yuen), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. g) MEET THE KING, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (ZM) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) WATERFRONT raced with cheek pieces. (declared 08h01 on 20260115) b) *N Yuen (TOMAHAWK BILL) weighed out at 51.9kgs and only claimed 1kg of her 1.5kg allowance. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) TOMAHAWK BILL - examined post-race. Nothing obvious detected. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
