THE STARTER REPORTED: a) APRICITY (*B Plaatjies) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (16h46) b) APRICITY (*B Plaatjies) raced with an awkward head carriage in the early and middle stages. c) At the 500m HUNGA TONGA (A Fortune) and BOOZY SUSIE (S Veale) brushed. d) Leaving the 200m KUBU (JP van der Merwe) was steadied momentarily off the heels of BOOZY SUSIE (S Veale) and was directed outwards to obtain a clear run. e) Jockey A Fortune reported that HUNGA TONGA did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) In view of the performances of EXCEEDINGLY GLAM (R Piechulek), BERRY'S BOOGIE (AUS) (A Domeyer) and PENTOLINA (C Little), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies. g) EDUCATOR, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
