THE STARTER REPORTED: a) NOMORE BULLETS (C Habib) jumped inwards. b) BONELLI (A Domeyer) jumped outwards. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (12h11) b) Shortly after the start, SIXTYZERO (L Mxothwa) was squeezed between NOMORE BULLETS (C Habib), which jumped in and BONELLI (A Domeyer), which jumped outwards. c) SIXTYZERO (L Mxothwa) over raced in the early stages. d) In view of the performance of MONTESSORI (G Wright) (Betting 6/1; Distance 11.80 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. e) Jockey A Domeyer was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that as the rider of BONELLI he misused his crop by striking BONELLI more than 12 times (14) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Jockey A Domeyer signed an admission of guilt and was fined R4000,00. f) PRAIRIE DAWN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised.
