THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ROSY LEMON (S Khumalo) and PEPPER TREE (*K J Lihaba) were slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) INSTANT ATTRACTION (*T Mayhew) over-raced in the early stages. c) In view of the performance of HUBERTUS HUNT (C Zackey), (distance 21,70 lengths, betting 25/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) GRACE'S KISS (C Habib) tired badly in the concluding stages. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer A G Laird was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of GRACE'S KISS on return to stables. e) LADY BLUNT (R A Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
