Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GREENLIGHT DANCER (MK Katjedi) was stubborn loading, nervous in the stalls, reared, jumped awkwardly and thereafter was slow into stride. b) ONE DANCE (M Yeni) and MY AMI BEACH (E Webber) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (13h03) b) TWILIGHT BAY (C Zackey) stumbled shortly after the start. c) MY AMI BEACH (E Webber) was hanging in from the 300m. d) Jockey C Zackey did not persevere with his riding from the 50m and thereafter, he reported that TWILIGHT BAY did not stride out freely behind in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) Jockey MK Katjedi reported that he felt something amiss with GREENLIGHT DANCER. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer DA McKenzie was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. f) Apprentice I Taka was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that as the rider of KAMAKAZI he misused his crop by striking KAMAKAZI more than 12 times (13) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Apprentice I Taka signed an admission of guilt and was fined R2000,00. g) KAMAKAZI, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer JVA Strydom was advised. (LM) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) MY AMI BEACH raced with blinkers. (declared 09h59 on 20260122) b) C Little (LADY LUCK) rode +0.5kgs. (declared 58.9kgs) c) W Agrella (MIDNIGHT MUSIC) rode +0.5kgs. (56.3kgs) d) R Fourie (JUST ONE KISS) rode +1kg. (55.6kgs) RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) Nil.
