THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) Apprentice J Botes, the rider of ARLINGTON ACTION, accidentally dropped his crop at the 400m. c) Shortly before the finish line, ARLINGTON ACTION (*J Botes) was steadied in anticipation of being awkwardly placed between MILITARY MOVES (M Yeni), which shifted in marginally away from the crop, and EUPHRATES (C Habib). d) In view of the performance of THE MERCIFUL (P Mxoli), (distance 12,00 lengths, betting 16/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) POMOZELOUS (J R Syster), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
