Stipes Report
The delay to the start of this race was due to the previous race delays. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) A M C VOTER (C F Dicken) over-raced in the early stages. c) Approaching the 2000m IRISH ANTHEM (M Michel) which over-raced in the early stages, was briefly inconvenienced between A M C VOTER (C F Dicken) and the heels of MAGIC HAT TRICK (A Fortune) which rolled in and was immediately corrected. d) Approaching the 1200m WINDOW TO MY SOUL (S Moodley) was switched to the outside of the field and allowed to improve to take up a forward position entering the turn. e) Approaching the 150m DAY TWO (S Khumalo) shifted out away from the crop and towards the heels of REIGN ON IMPACT (*D D Louw). f) REIGN ON IMPACT (F Greyling), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
