THE STARTER REPORTED:

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (SR) :
a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded.
b)	EL REY VIENE (S Veale) over-raced in the early stages.
c)	Approaching the 1100m CHARLIE CROKER (S Moodley) briefly raced in restricted room between the heels of MVELELO (*D Ramkhalawon) and EVENTIDOR (*D D Louw) which rolled in and was then corrected.
d)	PRINCE OF TROY (K de Melo) hung in from the 350m.
e)	DAPPER (C Murray) was accidentally stuck on the muzzle by Jockey R A Venniker's (KING'S ISLAND) crop at the 250m.
f)	In view of the performance of CHARLIE CROKER (S Moodley) (9.85 lengths, 16/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 
g)	Jockey S Hlengwa signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, (Appendix E; Guideline M), in that as the rider of KUMEMORI he misused his crop by striking this gelding more than twelve times (13). Accordingly, he was fined R2000.
h)	EVENTIDOR (*D D Louw), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S S Ngcobo  was advised (DZ).
