THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO A TECHNICAL ISSUE WITH THE STARTING STALLS. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, SHES EVERYTHING (L Nhlapo) kicked the rear gates, which caused the premature opening of the starting stalls. As a result, ULTRA PURSUIT (J R Syster) and FEARLESS BOMBER (J Penny) exited the stalls prior to the start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) During the loading process, SHES EVERYTHING (L Nhlapo) kicked the rear gates, resulting in the unintended opening of stall gate 3 (FEARLESS BOMBER) and stall gate 5 (ONO NO KOMACHI). Consequently, ULTRA PURSUIT (J R Syster) and FEARLESS BOMBER (J Penny) exited the stalls, with Jockey J R Syster being dislodged and ULTRA PURSUIT subsequently bolting for a considerable distance. FEARLESS BOMBER was restrained by Jockey J Penny, returned to the start, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, declared fit to race, and reloaded. ULTRA PURSUIT was subsequently scratched by order of the Stipendiary Steward for delaying the start. JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) ONO NO KOMACHI raced without a tongue tie (declared 30 January 2026 at 10H22). THE VETERINARY SURGEON HAD NO REPORTS. SCRATCHED: a) ULTRA PURSUIT delaying the start (NHA). DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
