THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JOKER MAN (R Fourie) jumped awkwardly with its head up. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) JOKER MAN (R Fourie) over raced in the early stages. b) Jockey M Yeni did not persevere with his riding of BRENDEN JAMES from the 300m and thereafter reported that he felt something amiss with this gelding. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. The Stipendiary Board has exercised the provisions of Rule 49.7, and this gelding is suspended pending a Veterinary Certificate prior to its next racing engagement. Stable Employee Y Thuthu, acting on behalf of Trainer JP Nel, was advised. Stable Employee Y Thuthu was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables. c) LANCIAFIAMME (M van Rensburg) was hanging out between the 250m and the 150m. d) Jockey C Zackey reported that BINGWA choked up in running.
