THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, CAPE SAFFRON (J R Syster) was restless and rushed the front gates. This filly was removed from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. b) PALACE DANCER (R A Venniker) was slow, losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) Leaving the 600m, CAPE SAFFRON (J R Syster) was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed between ACCEPT COOKIES (G Lerena), which rolled out, and PALACE DANCER (R A Venniker), which rolled in. c) Apprentice K J Lihaba, the rider of LADY SABRINA, briefly dropped his left-side rein in the concluding stages. d) Jockey R Danielson reported that he felt something amiss with THEATRE OF LIFE in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) WARNING SOUND (M Michel), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) THEATRE OF LIFE: Jockey R Danielson weighed out at 59,1kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight.
