Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	HOSPICES DE BEUANE (M van Rensburg) was stubborn loading.
b)	ALADO'S PRIDE (C Little) and KING VISERYS (C Maujean) were slow into stride.
c)	Shortly before the start was effected, the back gates of HOSPICES DE BEAUNE (M van Rensburg) in stall gate 11 opened.  

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h47)
b)	SILENT TRIGGER (*N Nastili) proved difficult proceeding to the start and was led, riderless, by a Handler, causing a delay. This gelding is suspended indefinitely in terms of Rule 93.2.4 until such time as he proves tractable proceeding to the start on a race day. Trainer DG Smith was advised.
c) 	In terms of Rule 61.5.10, the Stewards reviewed the start with regard to HOSPICES DE BEAUNE (M van Rensburg) in stall gate 11 and established that the back gates had opened shortly before the start was effected. They further established that this gelding had jumped on terms, had not lost any ground and therefore took no further action. 
	This matter was brought to the attention of both the Starter and the Racing Operator.
d)	Shortly after the start, STAND UP (J Gates) and SILENT TRIGGER (*N Nastili) made contact.
e)	Shortly after the start, ON AN IMPULSE (*G Dookhit) and ARLU (L Mxothwa) made contact.
f)	At approximately the 1200m FUTURE SAINT (S Naidoo) was momentarily cramped between the inside 	running rail and STAND UP (J Gates), which was carried inwards by ON AN IMPULSE (*G Dookhit). Both 	FUTURE SAINT (S Naidoo) and STAND UP (J Gates) suffered slight interference in this incident.
g)	At approximately the 250m FUTURE SAINT (S Naidoo) was awkwardly placed between SILENT TRIGGER 	(*N Nastili) and ON AN IMPULSE (*G Dookhit), which shifted inwards from the 300m. Thereafter SILENT 	TRIGGER (*N Nastili) commenced to hang outward from the 200m.
	Apprentice G Dookhit appeared before the Board with regard to the above incident and was advised to 	take immediate corrective measures when his mounts commence to shift ground.
h)	Trainer K Mitchley was charged with a contravention of Rule 57.1.2 in that she failed to ensure that PORFIRIO 	was presented in the security area at least 60 minutes before the official starting time of the sixth (6th) race. 	Trainer K Mitchley signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R2 500,00.
i)	PORFIRIO, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Mitchley was advised. (LM)
j)	CURTISS CONDOR, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised. (LM)

JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES:

a)	*N Nastili rode SILENT TRIGGER. (declared 14h04 on 20260202)
