THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LOVE OF QUALITY (A Fortune) was stubborn loading and jumped slow, losing one length. b) MISS SMILEY (G van Niekerk) was restless in the stalls. c) CANTONA (*S Bungane) jumped outwards d) PRETTY BOY (S Veale) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (12h21) b) After being slow to begin, PRETTY BOY (S Veale) was brushed outwards by CANTONA (*S Bungane), which had jumped out. c) At the 200m FLEUR DE VILLE (C Bantam) was steadied briefly when tightened for galloping room between KIM CHANEL (C Little), which shifted in and SECRET TACTIC (S Moodley), which raced green and shifted out. d) In view of the report from the Starter regarding LOVE OF QUALITY (A Fortune), Trainer SW Humby will be advised to have this gelding re-schooled prior to his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. e) CANTONA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer PP Kruyer was advised. (SC) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) STARTING POINT raced with blinkers. (declared 05h40 on 20260202) b) GALACTUS raced with cheek pieces.
