THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GOLD GIBOSKI (R Fourie) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h41) b) Jockey R Fourie (GOLD GIBOSKI) briefly dropped his left side rein at the 250m. c) THREE TIGERS (*S Bungane) shifted in away from the crop from the 150m and was straightened at the 150m. Apprentice S Bungane appeared before the Board and was advised to straighten his mounts sooner than he had on this occasion in similar circumstances. d) Jockey A Fortune was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that as the rider of BLACK CHEETAH he misused his crop by striking BLACK CHEETAH more than 12 times (13) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Jockey A Fortune signed an admission of guilt and was fined R3000,00. e) NORTH POINT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J Crawford was advised.
