THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MY ONLY WEAKNESS (C Habib) was restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (15h53) b) Approaching the 1000m DIAMOND BOMBER (JP van der Merwe) raced onto the heels of ALLTHEBOYSIVELOVED (C Little) and had to be steadied. c) At the 200m Jockey JP van der Merwe (DIAMOND BOMBER) hesitated with his riding for a number of strides when awkwardly placed on the inside of ALLTHEBOYSIVELOVED (C Little). d) In view of the performance of VROOM VROOM (R Fourie) (Betting 6/1; Distance 6.15 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) MISS WILLIAM (L Mxothwa) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended for a period of 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr J de Villiers) f) DREAM SEARCHER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AN Marcus was advised.
