THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE DELAY IN THE PREVIOUS RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) AZALEAS FOR ALL (J R Syster) was slow, losing three lengths. Trainer F Bronkhorst was advised to reschool this mare prior to her next engagement (GT). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) AZALEAS FOR ALL (J R Syster) hung out from the 400m. c) Leaving the 200m, TODOQUE (P Mxoli) was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed on the heels of COCOMELON (M Michel), which hung in from the 300m and was corrected. d) DIMAKO'S JET (M Yeni) hung out in the concluding stages. e) DIMAKO'S JET (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
