THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ON THE OUTSIDE (S Khathi) was nervous in the stalls and jumped awkwardly. b) QUICK SKETCH (K Minnie) jumped slow, losing one length. c) ROCK ME MAMA (A Fortune) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) QUICK SKETCH (K Minnie), which raced green, shifted out away from the crop from the 250m. b) Due to a technical issue with the Scale, all Riders were weighed out manually. This was reported to the Racing Operator. c) ROCK ME MAMA (A Fortune) raced green. d) In view of the performance of BOLD TIGRESS (*EJ Muller), which raced green and shortened its stride in the latter stages, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. When questioned regarding the performance of BOLD TIGRESS, Trainer E Kaknis told the Board that this filly raced very green and would improve with racing experience. The Board advised Trainer E Kaknis that this filly needed to show significant improvement in her next start or a suspension may be imposed in terms of the Rules. Trainer E Kaknis was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. e) CASPERITA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
