a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (SR) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) LUNCH MONEY (*D D Louw) over-raced in the early stages. c) In the concluding stages ONE IRISH ROVER (N Patel) was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed on the inside of SUN IN MY POCKET (C Habib) and on the heels of ULTRA QUICK (K de Melo) which rolled in marginally. d) In view of the performance of SUN IN MY POCKET (C Habib) (7.60 lengths, 13/2 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Jockey S Khumalo was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, (Appendix E; Guideline M), in that he as the rider of ACACIA'S BLOSSOM misused his crop by striking this mare more than twelve times (13). Jockey S Khumalo signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R2000. f) Jockey S Veale was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, (Appendix E; Guideline M), in that he as the rider of KAAPSE KLOPSE misused his crop by striking this gelding more than twelve times (13). Jockey S Veale signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R2000. g) KAAPSE KLOPSE (S Veale), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M J Odendaal was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) HAMILTON HERO raced fitted with alumites (advised 04.02.2026/15h33). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
