THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO FOXY AFTER DARK (R MUNGER) BEING SUBJECT TO A LATE VETERINARY EXAMINATION AND SUBSEQUENTLY BEING SCRATCHED. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, SLENDER SILHOUETTE (K de Melo) and ELEGANT EDGE (K Matsunyane) came together and bumped. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) EL ZANI (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer M Peter, acting on behalf of Trainer A P Peter, was advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
