THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GIDDY UP GRACE (JP van der Merwe) was reluctant to load. b) DIBBLE (*S Bungane) was restless in the stalls and slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (13h36) b) AIN'T MISBEHAVING (R Piechulek) and LOUI'S STAR (G van Niekerk) brushed shortly after the start. c) WOMAN IN GOLD (C Little) raced wide throughout. d) VIXENS WAR (C Zackey) was hanging out throughout. e) Jockey G van Niekerk was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that as the rider of LOUI'S STAR he misused his crop by striking LOUI'S STAR more than 12 times (15) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Jockey G van Niekerk signed an admission of guilt and was fined R7500,00. f) LOUI'S STAR, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GW Ennion was advised. (SC) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) WOMAN IN GOLD raced without blinkers and with cheek pieces. (declared 09h52 on 20260210) RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON HAD NO REPORTS. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
