THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JANE WILSON (D De Gouveia), INTERCITY (R Munger) and BEIJING EXPRESS (*S Sosibo) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 1500m the saddle on LADYOFMYLIFE (*J R Syster) slipped forward which placed Apprentice Syster at a severe disadvantage, thereafter he was unable to fully assist this filly out to the end of the race. b) Apprentice S Sosibo the rider of BEIJING EXPRESS, rode a satisfactory qualifying ride. c) PRETTY IN PEARLS (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
