THE STARTER REPORTED: a) NKANDLA GOLD (R Danielson) was slow, losing five lengths. b) TIGER STORM (*J Botes) was slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) A race review was called into the start of this race regarding NKANDLA GOLD (R Danielson) in stall gate 5, where it was established that this gelding had cast his head into the adjacent stall as the start was effected. The Board was satisfied that this gelding's head was not in the stall gate allocated to him, and acting in terms of Rule 61.6.11, declared him to be a non-runner. c) Shortly before the finish line, TIME WILL TELL (M Yeni) was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed between TIGER STORM (*J Botes), which rolled out, and QUEEN'S PACT (P Mxoli), which shifted in marginally away from the crop. d) ORIENTAL BOUQUET (M K Katjedi), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) TIGER STORM raced without a compression mask and blinkers (declared 6 February 2026 at 08H44). THE VETERINARY SURGEON HAD NO REPORTS.
