Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	PLAYMAKER (R Fourie) was nervous in the stalls.
b)	WORLD CHOICE (C Maujean) and WARRIOR'S EDGE (C Little) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (13h45)
b)	Permission was granted for WARRIOR'S EDGE (C Little) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to 	the start. 
c)	MYSTIC VISION (C Zackey) shifted badly both ways away from the crop from the 350m, which resulted in 	Jockey C Zackey being unable to fully assist his mount.
d)	In view of the performance of WARRIOR'S EDGE (C Little), which was not persevered with from the 300m, the 	Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
e)	FROM THE HIP (M Yeni) was hanging in from the 150m and thereafter had to steady momentarily off the 	heels of WORLD CHOICE (C Maujean), which shifted outwards away from the crop shortly before the finish 	line.
f)	In view of the performance of NORSE WARRIOR (J Gates), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to 	examine this gelding.
	Trainer E Kaknis was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the 	stables.
g)	WORLD CHOICE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer JVA Strydom was advised. (LM)
