THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h45) b) At the 350m Jockey C Little (SAACHI ONE) hesitated with his riding in anticipation that the available run between the inside running rail and DECEMBER DAWN (A Domeyer) would close. Thereafter SAACHI ONE (C Little) was hanging in. The saddle on SAACHI ONE (C Little) slipped back in running. This was confirmed by the Veterinary Surgeon. c) Approaching the 100m MORFELIHA (A Fortune) was momentarily held up when unable to secure clear running between WILLIAM'S WOMAN (*S Bungane) and MARKETA (L Mxothwa). d) Jockey JP van der Merwe reported that PLAYING TRIX raced with its tongue over the bit. e) CARIBBEAN GOLD, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer T Woolard, acting on behalf of Trainer GS Kotzen, was advised. (TJ) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) S Veale rode CARIBBEAN GOLD.
