THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) JET FORCE recorded a TCO2 concentration of more than 36 mmol/L. (15h50) Trainer D McLachlan was advised that a second blood specimen would be collected. This specimen was of an acceptable TCO2 level. b) Approaching the 1000m JET FORCE (G van Niekerk) was carried out wide on the turn for a short distance by POWERANDTHEGLORY (A Fortune), which was hanging out on the turn and shifted out away from the inside running rail. c) JET FORCE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
