Stipes Report

THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE DELAY IN THE PREVIOUS RACE AND THE SUBSEQUENT SCRATCHING OF SPY STORY (P MXOLI).

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	SPACE MISSION (K de Melo) was restless in the stalls and thereafter jumped outwards leaving the stalls.
b)	ROYAL HORIZON (J Penny) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	ONE TIGER recorded a TCO2 concentration of more than 36 mmol/L. Trainer F P Habib was advised that a second blood specimen would be collected. This specimen was of an acceptable TCO2 level.
b)	Shortly after the start, LEGENDARY (R A Venniker) and ROYAL HORIZON (J Penny) were bumped out by SPACE MISSION (K de Melo), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. As a consequence, ROYAL HORIZON (J Penny) lost momentum. 	
c)	ONE TIGER (M van Rensburg) shifted both ways away from the crop from the 200m,
d)	Shortly before the finish line, READY SET FIRE (M Yeni), which shifted in away from the crop, was steadied to avoid running onto the heels of CAN YOU DANSE (M K Katjedi).
e)	In view of the performance of SPACE MISSION (K de Melo), (distance 8,75 lengths, betting 4/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.	
f)	CAPTAIN SELVIE (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
