Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FIRE FORCE (*M Mbuto) lost 3 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) Shortly after the start AUGRABIES (S Hlengwa) was brushed by QUICKSMART (S Moodley) which was carried out by SPANISH FEUD (K de Melo) which jumped outwards leaving the starting stalls. c) Entering the first turn BALTIC ASSAYER (*D D Louw) commenced to over-race in the early stages and rolled out. d) Jockey K de Melo (SPANISH FEUD) did not persevere with his riding from the 400m and thereafter he reported that he felt something amiss with this filly from the latter part of the second turn. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) QUICKSMART (S Moodley) hung out from the 300m. f) DAY TWO (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) was advised (MM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Nil. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) SPANISH FEUD : Not striding out.
