THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ANUSHKA (S Hlengwa) and MIDNIGHT GARDEN (J Jacobs) lost 1 length. b) RUSHING CHIMES (*G Samo-Burthia) lost 3 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) Leaving the starting stalls LILBITOFMONICA (C F Dicken) which was slow into stride, was bumped out by QUEEN'S BOUNTY (*D D Louw) which jumped outwards sharply. As a result, TEARS OF THE SUN (M Michel) was inconvenienced between LILBITOFMONICA (C F Dicken) and MIDNIGHT GARDEN (J Jacobs). c) At the 400m MIDNIGHT GARDEN (J Jacobs) rolled out away from TEARS OF THE SUN (M Michel) which raced green and commenced to hang out from the 450m. d) ICEBERG ROSE (S Khumalo), ASGARDIAN QUEEN (C Habib) and BLAZING BELLE (S Moodley) raced green. e) Jockey C Murray reported that AMC ROY'S FANTASY took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) LADY GODIVA (R A Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D I Campbell was advised (SP).
