THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BUTTERCUP BABY (R A Venniker) was stubborn to load. Lost 1 length. b) ONE SMART COOKIE (S Moodley) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (SR) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) Jockey A Fortune (MISS LADYATERIX) reported that his saddle slipped backwards in the running. This was confirmed by the patrol footage. c) In view of the performances of ONE SMART COOKIE (S Moodley) (2.30 lengths, 7/2 in the betting) and MISS LADYATERIX (A Fortune) (5.40 lengths, 25/2 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) TARA STAR (*M Mbuto), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
