THE ALL-CLEAR FOR THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO A POWER FAILURE, WHICH AFFECTED THE BOARDROOM. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) AMBER'S FATE (*K J Lihaba) was slow, losing one length. b) KEEP WARM (G Lerena) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) At approximately the 300m, KEEP WARM (G Lerena) and CHARIKLO (M van Rensburg) were carried in by FUTURE GAMBLE (C Murray), which shifted in away from the crop. c) At approximately the 100m, FUTURE GAMBLE (C Murray), which shifted out away from the crop, and GALAXY QUEEN (C Zackey), which shifted in away from the crop, came together and bumped. d) In the concluding stages, CHARIKLO (M van Rensburg), which had come to the end of its run, was steadied when awkwardly placed between BABY RED (J R Syster) and KEEP WARM (G Lerena), which shifted out away from the crop e) GALAXY QUEEN (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (DR). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
