Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RED MAHOGANY (W Kennedy) was restless in the stalls. b) SOUL CAPTAIN (G Wright) lost two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) SOUL CAPTAIN (G Wright) raced green. b) Approaching the 150m, GREAT ECSTASY (S Moodley) which raced green and was hanging in from the 400m, proving difficult to assist, was switched in when awkwardly placed on the heels of SENOR GARCIA (R Fourie) which rolled out marginally. c) Shortly before the finish, SENOR GARCIA (R Fourie) was momentarily inconvenienced when awkwardly placed on the heels of JUNGLE JUNCTION (K de Melo) which was hanging in from the 300m. As a result of this incident, Jockey R Fourie was unable to fully assist SENOR GARCIA to the end of the Race. d) Trainer A Wright signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 8.3.1, in that she failed to ensure that the owners colours were available for the JUNGLE JUNCTION. Accordingly, a penalty of a warning was imposed. e) JUNGLE JUNCTION (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Wright advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) SENOR GARCIA was ridden by Jockey R Fourie (advised 28.04.22/8h26). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) JUNGLE JUNCTION raced with club colours. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) RED MAHOGANY : Mouth injury. b) STAR RATED : Blowing. c) GREAT ECSTASY : Returned post-race having cast the right front shoe. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
