THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THAT'S MAGICAL (*J BOTES) PROVING STUBBORN LOADING. 

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) 	THAT'S MAGICAL (*J Botes) was stubborn loading. Trainer M G Azzie was advised to reschool this gelding prior to his next engagement (GT).
b)	PALACE GUARD (*T Mayhew) and CASUS BELLI (R A Venniker) were slow, losing one length. 
c)	FULL GO (M K Katjedi) and FUSHIMI INARI (M Yeni) were slow into stride. 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded.
b)	MAJALUN (*B Marx-Jacobson) raced wide around the turn and into the straight.
c)	At approximately the 400m, FULL GO (M K Katjedi) was momentarily inconvenienced when awkwardly placed on the inside of GIFT OF ROYAL (J R Syster), which rolled in and was corrected. 
d)	In view of the performance of EXPRESS YOURSELF (S Moodley), (distance 10,10 lengths, betting 8/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
