THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE LATE ARRIVAL OF THE VETERINARY SURGEON AT THE START. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TRANQUIL JUDI (L Nhlapo) was slow, losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) TRANQUIL JUDI (L Nhlapo) raced green on debut. b) Jockey M Thackeray reported that HEAD AND HEART did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) FESTIVAL OF LIGHT (J Penny), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B H Stidolph advised (AH).
