THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	ZATARA MAGIC (C Zackey) and FIREALLEY (*G Dookhit) were nervous in the stalls.
b)	GET IMPRESSED (JP van der Merwe) jumped slow, losing two lengths.
c)	BOURNEMOUTH (K Minnie) and HEEMSTEDE (*J Botes) jumped slow, losing one length.
d)	ZINOVI (R Fourie) and GLOBAL ALLY (L Mxothwa) jumped awkwardly.
e)	TWENTY DRACHMA'S (*I Taka) and MAKHACHEV (*B Soodoo) jumped awkwardly outwards and were slow into stride. 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h18)
b)	The start of this race was delayed to allow time for the ambulance to return to the start after the incident in the 	previous race.
c)	GET IMPRESSED (JP van der Merwe), MAKHACHEV (*B Soodoo) and GLOBAL SPEAK (E Webber) over 	raced in the early and middle stages. 
d)	MAKHACHEV (*B Soodoo) shifted outwards and carried GET IMPRESSED (JP van der Merwe) out when 	Apprentice B Soodoo (MAKHACHEV) attempted to change his crop at approximately the 250m.
e)	FIREALLEY (*G Dookhit) was hanging in from the 350m.
f)	Apprentice N Nastili reported that HOME OF THE BRAVE did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary 	Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 
g)	LANCIAFIAMME, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer WGC Miller was advised. (LM)

JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES:

a)	TWENTY DRACHMA'S raced with alumites. (declared 17h05 on 20260218)
b)	L Mxothwa rode GLOBAL ALLY. (declared 14h28 on 20262020) (Jockey A Fortune was stood down for the remainder of the race meeting as a result of being injured in Race 4.)

THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED:	

a)	HOME OF THE BRAVE - examined post-race. Coughing.
b)	ZINOVI - abnormal respiratory noise.
