RABBLE ROUSER (K DE MELO) WAS RESTLESS AND REARED IN THE STALLS. THIS FILLY WAS REMOVED FROM THE STALLS, EXAMINED BY THE VETERINARY SURGEON AND PASSED FIT TO RACE. THEREAFTER, THE SADDLE ON THIS FILLY WAS REFITTED. THIS INCIDENT CAUSED A DELAY TO THE START OF THIS RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RABBLE ROUSER (K de Melo) reared in the stalls, was removed from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race, resaddled and reloaded. Trainer S G Tarry was advised to reschool this filly prior to her next engagement (GT). b) SIVAJI (P Mxoli) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) Shortly after the start, WILLOW CHARM (C Zackey) was squeezed out when awkwardly placed between BRAVE WAAM (L Nhlapo) and RABBLE ROUSER (K de Melo), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) Shortly after the start, Jockey L Nhlapo dropped his crop, which he regained shortly thereafter. d) Leaving the 400m, JAWBREAKER (*B Marx-Jacobson) and BRAVE WAAM (L Nhlapo), which raced green, came together and bumped. e) JAWBREAKER (*B Marx-Jacobson) shifted both ways away from the crop from the 200m. f) RABBLE ROUSER (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) JAWBREAKER raced equipped with blinkers (declared 20 February 2026 at 06H26). THE VETERINARY SURGEON HAD NO REPORTS. SCRATCHED: a) TIGER'S CAPTAIN coughing (Trainer) (Rule 53.5 applies). DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
