THE STARTER HAD NO REPORTS. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) The race was run in light rain. c) INTO DANCING (P Mxoli) was continually baulked from the 600m to the 200m. d) At approximately the 400m, SCARLETT HEART (M Yeni) was carried out by PRINCESS ILARIA (S Khumalo), which shifted out to avoid running onto the heels of AQUARIUS (K de Melo), which had come to the end of its run. e) In the concluding stages, TOO LATE MY MATE (C Habib) was brushed in on two occasions by SCARLETT HEART (M Yeni), which hung in. f) In view of the performance of AQUARIUS (K de Melo), (distance 7,00 lengths, betting 7/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) In view of the performance of SISTER GOLDEN HAIR (*K J Lihaba), (distance 12,25 lengths, betting 33/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. h) SCARLETT HEART (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
