THE STARTER REPORTED: a) EIGHT HATS (P Mxoli) jumped awkwardly outwards leaving the stalls. b) DONDOYAKI (S Moodley) was slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) Shortly after the start, THE MIGHTIEST (*K J Lihaba) and SIKELOI (R Munger) were carried out by EIGHT HATS (P Mxoli), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) EIGHT HATS (P Mxoli) over-raced in the early stages. d) WORLD HERITAGE (*J Botes) raced wide around the turn. e) THE MIGHTIEST (*K J Lihaba) hung in from the 400m. f) Jockey M Yeni, the rider of PEARL IN HER CROWN, accidentally dropped his crop at the 250m. g) PARIS FUN (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
