THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LAVA STRIKE (C Orffer) was reluctant to load and thereafter, was slow into stride. b) IN UNITY (S Veale) jumped slow, losing one length and was slow into stride. c) SNOW SNIPER (O Noach) and LENNOX (C Zackey) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) On arriving at the start, Jockey C Orffer expressed concern with LAVA STRIKE's action while proceeding to the start. This gelding was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed suitable to race. b) The bit on MY BONNY BOY (JP van der Merwe), which raced green and was hanging out throughout, pulled through this colt's mouth in running. c) WORLD SUPREME (R Piechulek), MADE IN CHELSEA (A Domeyer) and LAVA STRIKE (C Orffer) raced green. d) In view of the report from the Starter regarding LAVA STRIKE (C Orffer), Trainers P/E Steyn will be advised to have this gelding re-schooled prior to his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. e) RICH MAN'S WORLD, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
