a) MY BESTIE (*D Pillay) and OZARK (*DD Louw) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (15h20) b) At the 200m CELTIC CHIEF (*EJ Muller) shifted in away from AVIGNON (*G Samo-Burthia), which shifted in away from the crop and had to be straightened. c) Shortly before the finish, LOVERS LANE (*B Marx-Jacobson), which was hanging out from the 400m, rolled out and had to be steadied away from the heels of SHIFTING PATH (*V Jodhee). d) Apprentice V Jodhee reported that SHIFTING PATH did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) Apprentice N Yuen reported that she felt something amiss with IM THE BUZZ. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. f) AVIGNON, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer PAW Botha was advised.
