THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO MAJOR ARCANA (C ZACKEY) BEING SUBJECT TO A LATE VETERINARY EXAMINATION. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FRANKIE FAHRENHEIT (L Nhlapo) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) MAJOR ARCANA (C Zackey) was slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) LANCE ALOT (P Mxoli) and TRIP OF FAITH (J Mariba) shifted out significantly away from the crop from the 300m. Jockey P Mxoli (LANCE A LOT) and Jockey J Mariba (TRIP OF FAITH) appeared before the Board and were advised to make more of an effort to keep their mounts straight in races. c) FRANKIE FAHRENHEIT (L Nhlapo) took two awkward strides around the turn and thereafter commenced to give ground to the field from the 300m. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey C Habib reported that NEBRASKA made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Jockey D Schwarz reported that STORM BURST did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) KAMBATI (*B Marx-Jacobson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
