Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	DAS GUTE (*J Botes) was nervous in the stalls and jumped inwards. 
b)	KING VISERYS (*B Soodoo), IZANAMI (R Fourie) and GLOBETONIC (S Naidoo) jumped slow, losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (15h18)
b)	Jockey L Mxothwa (GUARDING THE WALL) was late into the parade ring and only arrived once the horses 	were proceeding to the start.
	Jockey L Mxothwa was charged with a contravention of Rule 56.4.1.3 in that he failed to proceed to the parade 	ring immediately after being instructed to do so by the Clerk of Scales. Jockey L Mxothwa signed an admission 	of guilt and was fined R1000,00.
c)	Shortly after the start, ARLU (MK Katjedi) was buffeted between KING CELTILLUS (*I Taka) and DAS GUTE 	(*J Botes), which jumped inwards.
d)	DYNALLEY (C Zackey), GUARDING THE WALL (L Mxothwa) and FLIGHT ENGINEER (Y Ramzan) over 	raced in the early and middle stages.
e)	GLOBETONIC (S Naidoo) raced wide without cover on the turn and into the straight. 
f)	IZANAMI (R Fourie) was baulked for galloping room between the 400m and the 300m.
g)	DAS GUTE (*J Botes) was switched out on two occasions for no apparent reason between the 400m and the 	200m. Thereafter, Apprentice J Botes (DAS GUTE) dropped his right-side rein at the 100m, which he regained 	at the 50m.
h)	Jockey MK Katjedi reported that ARLU did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was 	requested to examine this gelding.
i)	In view of the performance of IZANAMI (R Fourie), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this 	filly.
	Trainer AC Greeff was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the 	stables.
j)	DYNALLEY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer TJ Laing was advised. (LM)
