THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	TEFLON MAN (M Yeni) jumped slow, losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride.
b)	MEU CAPITANO (G van Niekerk) jumped slow, losing one length.
c)	SURJAY (L Mxothwa) jumped awkwardly.
d)	LUCKY LAD (K de Melo) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h39)
b)	Light rain fell prior to and during the running of this race. 
c)	In a tightly bunched field approaching the 1000m SURJAY (L Mxothwa) got its head up and raced awkwardly for a number of strides when close to the heels of QUESTIONING (R Fourie).
d)	Jockey G Lerena reported that ASIYE PHAMBILI did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary 	Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
e)	QUESTIONING, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer VH Marshall was advised. (ZM)
