PLATINUM SHAY BOLTED RIDERLESS FROM THE START. THIS FILLY WAS TAKEN IN HAND AND SUBSEQUENTLY SCRATCHED. THIS CAUSED A FURTHER DELAY TO THE START OF THIS RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DRACHENFUTTER (C Zackey) was slow, losing three lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. Trainer M N Houdalakis was advised to reschool this filly prior to her next engagement (GT). b) HEAVENLY LACE (J Greyling) was slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) Following the running of Race 1, in consultation with the Jockeys, the going was changed from Good to Soft. c) Jockey C Habib reported that he felt something amiss with SITVA QUEEN in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) GRANDE HAWAII (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
