Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	ICED MARMALADE (G Wright) was injured while loading, removed from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and subsequently withdrawn.
b)	NORTH STAR (R Fourie) was nervous in the stalls, reared and made contact with the left side of the starting stalls. This filly was removed from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed suitable to race.
c)	WINTERONTHEGREEN (M Yeni) was nervous in the stalls.
d)	DYNASTY'S LAST (*N Nastili) jumped slow, losing two to three lengths.
e) 	HAPPY WIVES (K Minnie) and STU'S GIRL (*B Soodoo) jumped slow, losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (15h21)
b)	Permission was granted for SMASHING (X Ndlovu) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to 	the start.
c)	ICED MARMALADE took charge of Jockey G Wright while proceeding to the start. On its arrival at the start, 	this filly was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed suitable to race.
d)	After being slow to begin, Apprentice N Nastili felt something amiss with DYNASTY'S LAST and he eased this mare out of the race at approximately the 700m. DYNASTY'S LAST was attended to on course by the Veterinary Surgeon.
e)	SMASHING (X Ndlovu) had to be steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed on the heels of CAPE CAPRI 	(MK Katjedi), which shifted inwards slightly at approximately the 300m.
f)	After NORTH STAR reared and made contact with the left side of the starting stalls, Jockey R Fourie reported that this filly took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
	Trainer AC Greeff was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables.
g)	Jockey C Zackey (PARADISE WAY) and Apprentice B Soodoo (STU'S GIRL) reported that these fillies did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
h)	The saddle on WINTERONTHEGREEN (M Yeni) slipped back in running. This was confirmed by the 	Veterinary Surgeon.
i)	JET SET RUN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer E Kaknis was advised. (LM)
