THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LACRYMA CHRISTI (C F Dicken) was restless in the stalls. b) FUTURE PROSPECT (S Moodley) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DM) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) Shortly after the start LEVITATOR (K Matsunyane) was brushed out by ANNIE'S SONG (S Khumalo) which was carried out marginally by WINTER MIRACLE (M Yeni). c) Jockey C F Dicken reported that he felt something amiss with LACRYMA CHRISTI in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) SAUDI SWEEP (R A Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer L W Goosen was advised (DZ).
