TURBO TIGER (*B Marx-Jacobson) was subjected to a Veterinary examination at the start and thereafter was withdrawn. This caused a delay to the start. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SOUND OF FREEDOM (*M Mbuto), NAVAL OFFICER (*I Taka) and BAILEY ROSE (*G Dookhit) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DM : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) Approaching the 1000m, BAILEY ROSE (*G Dookhit) ducked out sharply for no apparent reason which resulted in Apprentice G Dookhit being dislodged. Apprentice G Dookhit was attended to by the Course Medical team and as a result, was precluded from weighing back in. The Board, acting in terms of Rule 66.2, deemed his weight to be correct. c) Apprentice A Mosaheb (XIPHOS) rode a satisfactory qualifying ride. d) Apprentice G Samo-Burthia reported that HIGHVELD STORM did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) FROSTBITE (*B Soodoo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F Greyling was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) TURBO TIGER was ridden by Apprentice B Marx-Jacobson (claiming 4kg) (advised 10.03.2026/8h24). This gelding raced with cheek pieces (advised 9.03.2026/9h28). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) HIGHVELD STORM : Not striding out left hind. THE MEDICAL OFFICER REPORTED : a) Apprentice G Dookhit was examined after being dislodged. Soft tissue injury to left elbow and right knee. Rule 25.12 does not apply. However, Apprentice G Dookhit will be required to be examined by the Course Medical Officer prior to his next riding engagement. SCRATCHINGS : a) TURBO TIGER : Not striding out left front. Withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon at 13h51 and the betting was 100/1. Rule 53.5 applies. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: a) None.
